What is HGV Academy?
HGV Academy is a driver-led training platform created by drivers, for drivers. We specialise in helping new drivers pass their theory tests (1a and 1b) and CPC with confidence.
Our training is built around real-world experience, not just textbook answers – giving you the knowledge and tips you actually need to pass.
And we’re not stopping there – soon, we’ll also be offering hands-on driving lessons, so you can go from passing your tests to mastering the road.
How Long Does HGV Training Take?
With fast-track options, you could be road-ready in as little as 1 month. Most students complete training in 4–8 weeks, depending on licence type.
We prioritise efficient, flexible learning to get you qualified faster.
What do we provide?
We offer the UK’s leading HGV theory (1a & 1b) and CPC training to help you pass your tests with confidence. Our courses are designed by experienced drivers who know exactly what it takes to succeed.
And we stand by our training – if you don’t pass and meet our criteria, we’ll give you a full refund. T&Cs apply.

Which HGV Licences Can I Train For?
- Category C (Class 2): Rigid lorries (7.5+ tonnes)
- Category C+E (Class 1): Articulated lorries
- Category C1: Smaller vehicles (3.5–7.5 tonnes)
- Specialist add-ons: CPC, ADR, HIAB
