How it works (per gov.uk)
- 19 video clips, each about 1 minute.
- 20 developing hazards to spot (one clip has two).
- Score 0–5 per hazard - earlier clicks score higher.
- Pass mark: 67 out of 100.
- Click too many times or in a pattern and the clip scores 0.
How to score high
- Click as the hazard starts developing - a pedestrian steps toward the kerb, a car door starts opening.
- Then click again once it's obvious - but space the clicks to avoid the pattern flag.
- Watch the full scene, not just the middle of the road - mirrors, parked cars, side streets.
- Do 10+ practice clips a day for a week or two before the test.
