How many hours can an HGV driver drive per day?+

A maximum of 9 hours. You can extend this to 10 hours, but only twice per week.

What is the 45-minute break rule?+

After 4.5 hours of driving you must take a 45-minute break. You can split it into a 15-minute break followed by a 30-minute break.

How much daily rest do I need?+

11 hours minimum between shifts. This can drop to 9 hours up to three times between weekly rest periods.

What are the weekly driving limits?+

56 hours in any single week, and a maximum of 90 hours across any two consecutive weeks.
