How do I apply for finance with HGV Academy?
Use the calculator above to get a rough idea of your monthly repayments, then click ‘Check Eligibility’. You’ll be taken to our finance partner Ideal4Finance where you fill in a short online application. It only takes a few minutes.
Who provides the finance?
Finance is provided through Ideal4Finance, a regulated UK credit broker (FRN 703401). They match your application with a panel of lenders to find the best rate you qualify for. HGV Academy is an Introducer Appointed Representative.
How much can I borrow?
You can typically borrow between £500 and £10,000 to cover your HGV training package. The final amount offered depends on your personal circumstances, income and credit history.
How long does approval take?
Most applicants receive an initial decision within minutes. Once approved, funds are released directly to you, the student, so you can pay HGV Academy and we can lock in your training and test dates straight away, often the same day.
Will applying affect my credit score?
The initial eligibility check is a soft search and does not affect your credit score. A full credit search is only carried out if you accept a formal loan offer from a lender.
Do I need a deposit?
No deposit needed.
What are the eligibility requirements?
You must be at least 18, a permanent UK resident, receive a minimum of £200 weekly income, have a valid debit card and an active UK current account that can accept Direct Debits.
Can I get finance with bad credit?
Ideal4Finance works with a panel of lenders that consider a wide range of credit profiles, including applicants with less-than-perfect credit. Approval isn’t guaranteed.
What if my application is declined?
If finance isn’t an option, you can still pay for your course directly by card or bank transfer, or split the cost into staged payments. We also offer 0% in-house finance with HGV Academy directly, WhatsApp us to get started.
