How refunds work at HGV Academy. This policy sits alongside our full Terms & Conditions.
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have 14 days from the date of booking to cancel your course for a full refund of any deposit paid, provided that:

Once any of the following has taken place, the starter payment / deposit becomes non-refundable:
Anything not yet used (e.g. remaining training days) may be refunded pro-rata at our discretion, less an administration fee to cover booking and scheduling costs.
If you're paying via our 0% in-house finance:
DVSA test fees are paid to the DVSA and are only refundable in line with DVSA rules (e.g. cancellation with 3+ working days notice).
If you purchased Pass Protection, your retest fee and additional training hours are covered up to the limits of your tier - see the Pass Protection page for full detail.
The HGV medical fee (£50) is paid to the medical examiner and is non-refundable once the appointment has been booked.
The theory kit fee (£60) is non-refundable once you have accessed the kit or downloaded any materials.
Even where a refund is not required by law, we may offer a partial or full refund in exceptional circumstances (bereavement, serious illness, permanent medical disqualification). Contact us and we'll look at your situation individually.
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 14 working days of approval.
This policy does not affect your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Where our services fall short of the standard required by law, you may be entitled to a repeat performance, price reduction or refund regardless of this policy.
